In the Wake of Connecticut School Shooting

Just two weeks ago, I shared here a message from Mayors Against Illegal Guns to thank sportscaster Bob Costas for having the guts to bring up the topic of gun violence on national television, following an apparent murder-suicide carried out by a gun-toting footballer. It seems that no sooner than we'd emailed Costas, another, worse tragedy occurred at an elementary school in Connecticut. While our thoughts and prayers continue to be with the victims and with those whose lives have been touched by the tragedy, we must also send a timely message to the federal government to demand a plan. Let's once again join Mayors Against Illegal Guns in communicating that loud message collectively and in bringing an end to the senseless gun violence in our country soon.
