One of the ways you deal with the stress of finals week is to have your students recap what they have learned throughout the semester. People learn differently and at different paces. So every bit of accomplished learning is worth celebrating. Besides the curricular outcomes, though, have your students achieved their desired experience in your classroom? Have they felt happy and positive even when they temporarily fail? Have they felt that they have become better at the soft skills that help them live life? For example, have they learned to give up their excuses and felt good about it? See number 12 of "15 Things You Should Give Up to Be Happy." Someone once said, "In years to come, learners may forget what you taught them, but they will always remember how you made them feel."
Incidentally, the article is also fodder for the idiom "give up."
