Offering Every Variety of English Sentences

You are not alone if you dislike seeing choppy sentences from students. But according to Dr. Kinsella, who delivered a great keynote address at our regional conference on campus yesterday, ESL professionals must offer language guidance for their academically-bound students to utilize academic register, which certainly calls for sentence variety with the help of such means as transitional expressions. With that in mind, ESL Tutoring Center has designed a 2-hour workshop during which students will eventually create sentences of varying lengths. Every credit student can take part in the event, which will take place in H-118 this coming Friday, 4/28, from 11am to 1pm. Organizers hope that the workshop will inspire appreciation of the various ways to make sentences not only longer and but more interesting. It will make one a more engaging writer.
