Planning for the Future

Everyone knows that it's becoming harder to fill our lowest level classes as that student base seems to be disappearing. There are myriad contributing factors for that, but the biggest problem right now seems to be course irrelevancy and enrollment barriers. The good news is that the college appears ready to support future changes as all have seemed to realize our best hope for growth in the lowest levels may be a conversation class. The dept. has put together two late-start NESL 322 classes, one at midday and one in late afternoon/early evening. Both of these 8-week conversation skills classes are scheduled to run from 3/25 to 5/18. Interested students can get more information or even get themselves enrolled in these classes in the ESL Office in H-116, starting now. We will take almost any new student, and they don't have to be tested. Please spread the word in the community. A flyer will be forthcoming soon.
