Phrasal Verbs

Phrasal verbs are typically two-word verbs including a verb and a particle. The particle can be an adverbial or a preposition in function. The idiomatic meaning of a phrasal verb aside, an ESL student faces the added challenges of differentiating between a transitive verb and an intransitive verb as well as placing types of objects correctly with a phrasal verb. Thus, it helps to expose our students to lots of phrasal verb drills. Here are a few online resources:
