Two Home-Grown Resources Online

Did you know that there is an "ESL Practice" page on the college's BSI/HSI website? Here's the URL: http://www.palomar.edu/bsihsi/LeftNav/TLCNav/ESLPractice.htm. I believe Gary is the one deserving the credit for having this select resource page created. There are two resources that I'd like to recommend, especially for helping our beginning and low-intermediate students. The first is listed as the top link on that webpage. It is also the latest addition there. This is a project created by Pat Robinson, an ESL/Spanish tutor in the TLC in Escondido. As a native speaker of Spanish, Pat found herself needing to explain basic grammar concepts in Spanish to learners such as older people or basic literacy students who often never learned grammar in their native Spanish.

My second recommendation can be found after you click on the "Directed Learning Activities" link at the bottom. You will see four video clips Gary created to help teach or review present progressive tense in English.
