State of Our Profession

Mark Lieu, an ESL professor, former president of the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges, and a long-time CATESOLer, gave the following keynote speech at San Diego Regional CATESOL Conference last October. In it, he shared his vast knowledge about the state of our ESL profession during the ongoing budgetary crisis.
