Welcome to FOD (“For Our Dept.”), a new blog by the staff (teaching or otherwise) and for the staff of the ESL Dept. at Palomar. Notice our new blog has a new URL: http://ESLAtPalomar.blogspot.com/, but you don’t have to remember this because the new blog will also be linked from the “Staff Only” area of our department web site.
Last school year’s blog was read regularly by many, many colleagues in the department, but as far as I know, only Gary, Sharon, Heather, and Lynne actually posted there. To encourage department-wide sharing on important professional matters, I’d like to continue welcoming contributions by all to our new department blog. Here’s my first-ever flash movie--which is basically a narrated PowerPoint slide show under 10 minutes--to offer you some tips on how to become an author of our blog.
So log on and speak up throughout the new semester and the new school year.
